About

THE ICAM PROGRAMME

The Acronym CAM (Children Affected by Migration) is used when referring to children who are refugees, asylum seekers, economic or social migrants or those left behind by family moving to another country. Children Affected by Migration are 10.5 million of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children in our communities, and include 2.5 million children left behind by parents seeking work abroad The ICAM network seeks to benefit all CAM through further partnerships with, and support from, organisations and individuals who share our determination to find and implement ways of alleviating the effects of the growing humanitarian crisis caused by migration, both now and in the longer term. This is urgently needed as schools face the additional challenge of restoring disrupted and fractured learning relationships caused by the Covid pandemic.
